How can I sign up and start using walletii?
Download the walletii app to your smartphone, and it will guide you through all the necessary steps. We must verify your identity before you can send or receive any money. You will be asked to take a selfie and scan your ID, so have them prepared.
How can I top up my wallet?
There are a few ways you can top up. You can add funds: By using your bank card (by tapping on Add money in the app) By sending money from a local bank account to your walletii alias (you can find your walletii alias in your Profile in the app) By sending money from any other local wallet
Is there a maximum balance for my walletii account?
Your Daily limit for all transactions is OMR 1000. Also, your wallet balance can never be more than OMR 1000.
Do I need to maintain a minimum balance in my walletii account?
No minimum balance is required.
Can I transfer money between walletii and bank accounts?
Yes, you can. To send money from a bank account in Oman to walletii, you'll need your walletii alias, which you can find and copy in walletii under your Profile. Then log into your banking app and enter your walletii alias when sending money. To send money from walletii to a bank account in Oman, you'll need to use the alias of your bank account, which you can find in your banking app. Then go to "Send money" in walletii, add a new local recipient and enter the alias of your bank account.
Can I send money abroad using walletii?
Yes! You can send money to over 200 countries with walletii. Just input the amount you want to send, select the delivery method, fill in all the required information about the beneficiary, confirm the transaction, and your money will be on its way. We will inform you via push notification when the status of your transaction changes.
What are the currency exchange rates on walletii?
Walletii offers competitive exchange rates and multiple delivery methods, allowing you to choose the best option for your transfers. You can view the exact exchange rates for all available options after adding or selecting a recipient under "Send money" in "International payments."
How long does it take for international transactions to reach the destination?
The delivery time depends on the method you choose. For cash pickup, your international transfers will reach your loved ones in 10 minutes or less. For other methods, such as bank transfers, the money will arrive the next day in most cases. We will inform you via push notification when the status of your transaction changes.
Can I use walletii outside of Oman?
Yes, you can access the app just like you would in Oman. However, if you are a new user, you cannot download and register while you are abroad.
Are there any transaction fees?
There are no fees for sending money from walletii to other wallets and bank accounts in Oman. You will always see the fees before you send any transaction that incurs them, such as when sending money abroad.
Will I be charged for receiving money into my walletii account?
No, you will not be charged for receiving money in walletii. However, there might be charges for sending money. You will always be informed about the fees before you send any transaction.
Is walletii safe?
Yes! We use only world-class partners, like MoneyGram. You can always monitor the status of the transaction in the transaction details in the "Transaction history" right in the app. You can also copy the Reference number from your receipt and check directly on the MoneyGram website.
What can I do to keep my account safe?
Choose a strong, unique passcode and change it regularly. Do not use a passcode that can be easily guessed based on your personal information (like your birthday or address). Do not reuse the same passcode you use to unlock your phone or other apps. Never share your passcode with anyone. Do not write down your passcode; ensure no one can see it. Lock your device when it’s not being used. Enable biometrics for faster, safer authentication. Check your transactions regularly.
